How I Design Challenging Spaces as an Interior Designer
Designing challenging spaces is never easy, but they often result in the most rewarding solutions. Why? Because working around problems forces me to innovate, leading to designs that are unexpected and completely unique.
When faced with a tricky space, my process often involves two days of intense 3D modelling and testing every possible solution until I reach that ‘aha’ moment. The key is to stay calm and trust the process - I remind myself that I can figure it out.
Interestingly, being an anxious perfectionist works in my favour! That drive to create something I’m proud of motivates me to work tirelessly until I find the perfect solution. I always trust my instincts to recognise the right design: when my heart races with excitement, I know I’ve found it.
For me, designing is about experimentation, problem-solving, and balance. The concept of harmonious living is central to all my work - creating spaces that feel connected and in sync with the people who use them.
Whether it’s balancing textures, colours, or spatial volumes, I always strive to lay the perfect foundation for harmonious living. I’m currently working on a blog post diving deeper into this idea and can’t wait to share more insights soon!
